Nordica was started outside of Italy by two brothers named Adriano and Oddone in 1939. After spending years trading hides, the brothers decided that they wanted to enter the footwear world and then the specialize in ski boots. While all of their products were loved, their ski boots really took off, and in 1963, their boots were the first to be equipped with a buckle fastening system and Nordica was also the first to make a ski boot entirely from polyurethane. Both of these innovations were greeted with open arms by snow fanatics. Nordica continued to gain popularity and help shape the ski market into what it is today. After almost a decade of experience, Nordica has been able to perfect their designs and they are still a leader on the slopes.
